Starting of our Airbnb

Since 2012, I have proudly called Austria my home, but my South African roots have shaped my perspective in unique ways.

I embarked on my overseas journey in 2010 with the clear goal of achieving financial freedom. Although it was tough being separated from my family and friends, I was determined to succeed.

In November 2023, I finally saw the completion of the construction phase that I had purchased. It was a significant milestone for me as I worked tirelessly to clear the building rubble that had accumulated in my garden. With that hurdle out of the way, I devoted myself to meticulously planning every detail of creating a tranquil and secure little paradise. This involved numerous iterations and adjustments as I endeavored to align the plans with my exacting vision.

Although a swimming pool was not initially included in our plans, we ultimately decided to excavate an area for a fountain to introduce a calming water element. This feature was intended to provide a space for relaxation. As part of our efforts to enhance the atmosphere, we strategically placed palm trees throughout the garden to offer privacy and contribute to a holiday-like environment.

One summer evening, my family and I gathered for a barbecue in our garden. As we relaxed and enjoyed our majestic surroundings following a day of hard work, we admired the newly installed fountain. It was beautifully illuminated and water was flowing from the mouths of the fish sculptures. In that moment, we were inspired to enhance the ambiance further, longing for more water features, extra flair, and a heightened holiday atmosphere. To our delight, my younger brother proposed the brilliant idea of adding a small splash pool in the corner. I wholeheartedly agreed, especially after a few beers, realizing it would be the perfect addition to our Airbnb project.

My younger brother and I were resolute in our determination to use just our bare hands to dig a hole that was 1 meter deep. We saw this activity as a form of exercise, and it turned out to be incredibly enjoyable.

The garden and the interior of the apartment have been meticulously tended to with love and positive energy.

You can also enjoy complimentary access to high-speed WiFi during your stay. We are pleased to offer a convenient card machine for your use when making purchases at our snack bar. This includes buying snacks, distilled water, charcoal for your grill, or extending your stay for an extra night.

I'm delighted to share that we've found the perfect spot for our fountain. After careful consideration, we've chosen to position it in the garden, right in front of the main entrance to the apartment. This placement ensures that the fountain creates a charming and inviting atmosphere, welcoming you to a beautiful paradise as soon as you arrive.
